I’ve got nowhere to run And nowhere to point the gun Except exposed pictures of yesterday I’ve got no right to brag And nowhere to pin the flag Focused on the gilded path of tomorrow Look at it! Look at the future we’ve made! Look how we’ve all been saved! Look at all of the Cadmium lights/Shining sun-bright Cars taking flight/Then there’s Hologram fights/Eternal nights Everything’s right in the/World of tomorrow The time has come Will you stay or are you gonna run The biggest day of our lives has just begun The future’s bright Can’t you see the moment’s before our eyes No turning back to yesterday Look at it! Look at the future performed! Look how our lives are transformed! Look at all of it! Projecting dreams/Onto our screens Fortunes unseen/Then there’s Working machines/Dance in moonbeams Everything’s clean in the/World of tomorrow (All you can fight/All you can hear All you can fill/With fear All you deceive/All you control Armies of knights/Patrol Where can we run/Where can we hide Unsafe inside in the/World of Tomorrow They’ll be coming for you too) Radio towers/Hour by hour Everything’s powered/By the Acetone showers/That water the flowers Everything’s ours in the/World of tomorrow

I've heard the depths of hell are nice this time of year Cause every waking minute everything I hear Terror and evil, millions of people Starving to death at no fault of their own I hear the ocean goes much deeper than we think And if I take a dive I sure hope that I sink All of these thoughts they, all just get lost in The endless fuzz that clutters up my mind And every night I go to bed To somewhere special in my head On Sunrise Avenue Where everybody says hello On Sunrise Avenue Where everybody knows how tall your garden grows I hope that someday, all will be okay But for now we're stuck right where we are I'm used to having heavy rain on my parade Even with clear skies, no one would have stayed I really don't care, I'll just find somewhere A place where no one lives in constant fear These days the cabin fever’s really getting worse Feels like I’ve been afflicted with some sort of curse Once I awaken My body starts aching The only known solution is sweet dreams So every night I go to bed To somewhere special in my head On Sunrise Avenue Where everybody’s home by 3 On Sunrise Avenue Where everybody smiles like they’re on TV You know, it’s probably not all that bad out there I still have friends and family, they all insist they care The water surrounds me But nothing can drown me The sunset means I’ll live another day

Can't Focus 03:51
Can’t keep anything in my mind Thoughts pass through, then forever left behind Always distracted, shields retracted Senses overclocking leave the process protracted I can’t focus on a thing Attention shifting endless I can’t focus on a thing Can’t concentrate, medicate, try to, yet still I can’t focus on a thing Images spin endless I can’t focus on a thing For a single second Losing track of time and space Losing reference of that face We were gonna meet for a meal, but if I’m being real I probably won’t arrive, it’s just the way I feel A night out would’ve been nice But another one in, I guess, it will suffice (how far it takes me in how hollow are my eyes how narrow is my focus how sharp is the disguise this mask is tied on too tight no matter the fit it's never right)
4.
Dreamless 03:33
Slow down This is way too fast Hold on Are you sure that this is gonna last? I don’t know if you hear me But I hear you (Have you told her the way you feel How does everything seem unreal) Tell me Is this the final round? Am I the rest of your life Or just a friend you like to have around I don’t know if you think of me I think of you (Are you worried you’re insincere Latching onto your unsound fears) Give it time Dreamless Nights after talking to you Worried What the hell am I supposed to do? What am I to do?
5.
Old Mr. Fox 02:49
Have you heard about Old Mr. Fox? Gets his rocks off on the rocks Body armor is a box Have you heard Old Foxy’s on the run? Say he has a loaded gun Say he’s hiding from the sun Someone told him there are cameras in the sky And they know all about you, your teeth and your eyes Mr. Fox started boarding his windows Wherever the wind blows, he sealed it tight I heard he used to be a regular person But he’s lost all his marbles, it continues to worsen These days he rambles all about the invasion The lizards are coming, and who’s gonna save him? Someone told him there’s a hole in the clouds And he needs to warn us, but not too loud Mr. Fox started wearing protection Resisting inspection, from the ones above I hear he used to have a family and kids But they all moved away, now they’re back on the grid These days he’s holed up in a lightless basement Building contraptions and weapon emplacements Mr. Fox has got a lot on his mind And he’s confident his time is running out

The candle burns at both ends The sunlight peaks through shutter blinds Why am I here awake It’s far too early or it’s far too late Lying here alone Keep checking my phone Did I say too much? Have my chances all been blown? Don’t leave me hanging I’m waiting here for confirmation that you read my words Don’t leave me hanging Are you too far out of reach, so far away my voice can’t be heard? Don't, don't, don't, don't Go through my daily routine As usual waiting for the pocket buzz Anxious pounding from my heart, shivers down my back That’s just what my body does Should I make a call? Would you answer it at all? Am I being too persistent In trying to break your wall? Don’t leave me hanging I don’t know if you’re there, just leave a heart to show you care Don’t leave me hanging Maybe I’m overreacting but it’s too much to bare

I can’t see my face at the bottom of the bottle The neon lights are not too bright But come the dusk they will replace the sunlight To most I am a parasite Unsure of my whereabouts beyond the night Rest assured I’ll always be out of sight I can’t see my face at the bottom of the bottle Whatever has been done to me is history I won’t allow your sympathy But the highway plays a symphony The soundtrack of my misery It’s good enough for company I can’t see my face at the bottom of the bottle The beaten path will lead me to my cenotaph And written here, an epitaph “Here they lie on your behalf Missed out on the aftermath Don’t let them be your golden calf” I can see my face at the bottom of the bottle The eyes I see don’t look like mine The rising sun’s the only way I know the time The neon lights now undefined The highway heeds the daily grind The cenotaph is better off left behind

The Big Game 03:47
You wake up half an hour before your alarm It’s enough time to ruminate in bed but not enough to roll over and fall back into Dreamland You went to sleep later than you wanted to last night You watched a documentary about a company whose products you don’t buy And you still won’t Your alarm goes off, you get out of bed, and you trudge downstairs to have a shitty cup of coffee and a plain piece of toast You shower, a little cooler than you normally do, get dressed, and hop into your car that starts 90% of the time This is that 10% Luckily, your neighbor has the day off, so you borrow his car, but it smells like cat hair You like cats, but you can’t stand the smell of their byproducts, so you never got one Anyway, you drive to work, same traffic, same sports radio, the big game was last night and apparently we lost Oh well, shit happens You arrive at work ten minutes late, it shouldn’t be a big deal but it is Your boss, who has 4 houses, 8 cars, and a daughter in politics, chews you out for being a lazy prick You know that, you just didn’t need to hear it from him The water cooler conversation’s about the big game, so you just head to your cubicle There’s a framed picture of a chair on your desk, you thought it would be funny when you started working here two years ago Two years have passed, and now nothing is funny At least the view out of the window is nice You could just leap right out and be free Your coworkers invite you to the local diner on their lunch break, and you join them because why not You never hated your coworkers, you just couldn’t relate to them Anyway, you’re at the diner, everyone’s still talking about the big game, so you just look at the menu You go to the sandwiches, because that’s what you’re in the mood for, but nothing catches your eye, so you look at the burgers instead The waiter comes to the table, you order a Philly burger, which is just a cheeseburger with grilled onions and sweet peppers Everyone else orders what they want and the waiter leaves, you wonder what he does in his free time The conversation is going smoothly until Steve brings up gender politics He said men shouldn’t wear nail polish, that it goes against traditional gender roles Steve fuckin’ sucks, man, no one likes this guy, not even the ones who almost agree with him You’re generally against gender roles, and if it led to the complete degeneration of society, then so be it One of your coworkers tells Steve to stop talking politics in public, you hate apoliticism but it sure beats listening to Steve You don’t even know why Steve is here, you think it’s because his minivan fits a ton of people Wonder what he uses it for Your food comes, and your burger is a little more rare than you would’ve liked, but it’s still good Someone asks you what you do on weekends, and you tell them you swim in lakes You don’t actually, but it sure beats telling them the truth Your coworkers don’t know you well so they’ll believe anything you say Everyone decides to pay separately, which you agree with, since your burger was only 8 bucks and you didn’t order a drink Everyone packs into Steve’s minivan, which also smells like cat hair, and back to work you go The rest of the day flies by like a melting block of ice You return home and collapse on the couch It wasn’t even a super work-heavy day, you just hate your job, but who doesn’t You have some salad in the fridge, it’ll balance your lunch burger well, but you’re not hungry yet An hour passes, and you’re finally hungry, so you have a salad and call it dinner One of your friends from college texts you, wants to know if you’re free this weekend You are, and you two agree to meet up in a local park Maybe this day will end on a high note for a change You watch a movie starring some people you’ve heard of, and you head to your room You crawl into bed, not because you’re tired, but because it’s a bit chilly and you wanna stay warm You resume your book, read a few chapters, then turn off the lights and go to sleep Today ended well

On My Way 02:25
And after graduation, education comes to an end The only life I’ve ever known, only way I’ve met my friends If we ever drift apart, I’ll be sure to make amends Without deliberation, I guess I’ll be on my way On to bigger and better things, to fill my future days I hope we see each other again, is there anything left to say? I guess I’ll be on my way Hold out your hand and I’ll follow you Don’t let me lose my way
10.
There is a place where fire burns after the flood There is a place where flowers don’t grow past the bud Skeleton shrapnel scattered on the streets Rotting remains of the sinners and cheats There is a place where rivers flow with human blood I know a place where the sun doesn’t shine in the sky I know a place where even the ravens can’t fly Scorched and tortured, ripped apart You can’t feel the beat of your heart I know a place where you’ll see your friends if you die Satan’s Kingdom waits for you! Come along and you can be a devil too! Can you feel your eyes turning blind in the haze? Can you make your way through the unending maze? Remember, this is your fate You performed your finale when you walked through the gates The thrills never end so you’ll always be goddamn amazed!

Flight 305 04:03
Northwest Airlines, Flight 305 November 24th, a normal day to most Passengers board a Boeing jet, mission in mind To travel across the Pacific coast But there’s a man, he has a plan He boards the flight with a suitcase in hand “I just have a grudge, I must have you know 200K in cash or this plane’s gonna blow” Where did you go in the wooded night? Where did the money go? Will we ever learn your identity? Do we already know? He grabbed a parachute, and took a bound From the airplane stairs Feds searched thereafter for evidence on the ground But he just wasn’t there Some say he walks among the living Some say he’s long since dead Some say he joined the movie industry But I say it’s better off a mystery instead

Who are your heroes? Second to zeros? False face (E)urophiles Wrestling crocodiles Tourists of the third world Hitting on little girls Moral posturing Second-wave prospering One too many fist fights Thinking they’re the Dark Knight Who is your savior? Ideal behavior? Law and order Private water Placed on a pedestal Haunted parables Campaign donors Servant owners Selling out their brand For invisible hands Who’s on your poster? Your favorite boaster? Modern-day Superman Pocket change from the Klan Bunker beach house Wine stains on the blouse Anodyne vocal chops Blood rising to the top Voyeur of the living dead Phantom wheels in their heads! Who are your heroes Heart to heart The ones you make part of yourself My skeleton is stone And my soul is made of steel My eyes are balls of silver And I don’t know how to feel So I’ll just sit here and leave my brain to rust I’ll just sit here and leave my brain to rust I’ll just sit here and leave my brain to rust Cause in this fallen kingdom, there’s no room for pride and lust (Some people need a kick in the head Some people need a punch in the face instead Some people need a walk in the park Some people need a point-blank shot in the dark) I don’t trust the past and its image of reality I don’t trust the present and its phantoms of morality I don’t trust the future and its hivemind singularity I don’t trust the universe and everything it’s done to me The binary is broken and how dare you try to fix it Your platitudes of “good and bad” and “right and wrong” are bullshit I’m spinning into nothing and there’s no one in the cockpit So I’ll just sit here and leave my heart to rot I’ll just sit here and leave my heart to rot

So, you wanted to get your life back on track Stow away your memories, you’re not looking back You were so naïve You too were deceived False sense of protection Everyone around you, lies like us Why did you think you could fly so high? I watched you fall from grace and nearly die You were so afraid The way you were portrayed It’s your new conclusion Everyone you cared for, cries like us We have rewritten everything you are See the words we used to break your heart Scripture of your doom Bed becomes a tomb Final benediction Everything you once were, dies with us
